High School Musical 3: Senior Year [G]

Graduation is fast approaching and the high school seniors have some serious decisions to make concerning their futures. Gabriella has been accepted at Stanford, but is torn between following her head and following her heart. Troy is having similar struggles as he tries to determine which path he wants to pursue: basketball or the theatre. To make matters worse, this year’s Spring Musicale will be the last show that the East High seniors will be able to do all together and aided by getting ready for Prom, making decisions about college, and rehearsing til they drop, this year tensions are really going to run high.

Well, it seemed that all the money that trickled in through the unexpected success of the High School Musical trilogy finally got put back into the film’s production. Easily the biggest of the three movies, High School Musical 3 was akin to watching a huge, shining, Broadway show. Everything in this film was about the music numbers, the dance sequences, and the costumes and sets, making the third and final film in the series absolutely huge

I found it hugely funny that, only at the end of it all, do we finally see the conflicting and internal angst troubles that plague real teenagers. And still every element of drama is drowned in overproduced and overemphasised musical numbers that just makes the whole thing laughable.
I also found it rather funny that, for all the planning and preparation and attention that was constantly drawn to it, we did not see a real graduation or the Prom. Huh. Go figure.
Starring Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Luca Gabreel, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, Olesya Rulin, Bart Johnson, Alyson Reed, and Jemma McKenzie-Brown, High School Musical 3: Senior Year was an outrageously overdone and blindingly shining end to the trilogy filled with huge sets, music, high-powered dancing, angst, and romance.
Thank hell it’s over right?
