Wedding Crashers [M]

Crashing weddings to meet girls seems to be the best thing in life for Jeremy Grey and John Beckwith until they decide to crash the biggest wedding of the century: the wedding of the Secretary of the Treasury’s eldest daughter. It’s there where John breaks the rules as he falls head-over-heels for the Secretary’s middle daughter Clare, whilst Jeremy targets the youngest, Gloria. While John goes to lengths to sincerely woo Clare, Jeremy conquest turns out to be more than he bargained for as Gloria becomes clingy and demanding, finally inviting them to spend the weekend with the family. Braving the torture for his buddy, Jeremy goes along with John and the Secretary’s family, but the weekend soon escalates into something that may be too wild even for them.

Of the four: Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, and Will Ferrell who all tend to work together and appear in each other’s movies, my favourite combination would have to be the one that this movie boasts. Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are epic together and their chemistry and contrast in characters makes Wedding Crashers possibly the best buddy-picture ever! It’s a winning and original story, which is actually a very good idea genuinely, and it’s filled to the brim with these crazy and memorable characters. I LOVE THIS MOVIE!

It’s a known fact that opposites attract and that really works in terms of the casting in this movie. Let’s start with the heroes. The personalities of Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are such opposites so when the two get together, it’s absolute magic! You’ve got Vince who’s so full of energy and can go a hundred miles a minutes and then you’ve got Owen who’s laid-back Southern attitude balances out Vince’s exuberance beautifully.
We then have this brilliant contrast between the two heroines of Clare and Gloria. Clare is played by Rachel McAdams and she’s very level-headed, easy-going, and a genuine very floating character. Then on the other side of the table we have Gloria, played by Isla Fisher, and she’s an absolute nut! She begins cool and sexy, but then escalates into this cutesy and slightly crazed sex-fiend. She’s absolutely off her rock and Isla plays the part fantastically.
Starring Christopher Walken, Jane Seymour, Bradley Cooper, Keir O’Donnell, Ellen Albertini Dow, Henry Gibson, and Will Ferrell, Wedding Crashers is a fantastic film and a wonderfully original story that’s packed to bursting with crazy and memorable characters, chaos, drama, romance, “bromance” and comedy. I absolutely love this film and would highly recommend it for a night in! Get down to your local Blockbuster and pick up a copy, it’s fantastic!
