He’s on suspension, he’s having problems with Holly, and
he’s hung-over: so the last thing John McLane wants it to be roped into some
terrorist scheme. But, unfortunately, he’s the personal target of a terrorist
known as Simon who is threatening to blow up the entire city should his
commands not be met. With the reluctant help of an unwilling civilian, John is
really racing against the clock this time to save his life as well as those of
half the city.
The first one is still my favourite but THIS MOVIE IS PRETTY
FUCKING AWESOME! The first of the Die
Hard series to have some intellectual intrigue as well as all its acclaimed
action, explosions, and violence, Die
Hard With a Vengeance comes pretty close to scaling the heights of the
first movie. Armed with its good story, great cast, and balanced screenplay and
script, it’s pretty fucking amazing: one that will make it into the collection
for sure.

What can be said to be a drawback to this movie is the
foreseeable twist/clincher of the story. As soon as you see that this terrorist
has got it in for McLane, you know what it’s going to be about, but I think it
was that that made the casting of the villain all the more brilliant! I’m not
willing to say more on the subject, you guys will have to rent and watch the
movie, but I will say that Jeremy Irons was a perfect choice for the baddy…
very sexy phone voice! I mean, come on, it’s the voice of Scar on the end of
the line, how can you not love that!?
Joining Bruce Willis on the action ladder is Samuel L. Jackson who delivers a
knockout performance, providing not only verbal abuse and attitude to the
movie, but a fair amount of comedy as well. I have a bit of a thing for Samuel
L. Jackson I have to say, I loved him
in this flick.
Starring Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Irons, Graham
Greene, Colleen Camp, Anthony Peck, and Larry Bryggman, Die Hard With a Vengeance is a fantastic movie and a great third
instalment: not a similar story but one that is interlinked with the first
movie.
I like also too that in this film there is a greater sense of danger and
suspense because instead of being confined to a building or an airport, the
protagonist is literally running all over town trying to catch the bad guy.
Everything was bigger and it had much stronger sense of racing against the
clock.
Literally beginning with a bang and filled with action, comedy,
suspense, cryptic puzzles, intellectual intrigue, explosions, car chases,
fistfights, and heaps of blood, it’s pretty fucking awesome!
