Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Squeakquel [G]

Alvin and his brothers are back on the screen, but on a different scene: the school scene. After Dave has an accident which prevents him from being home, he decides that it's time for the boys to have a taste of a normal childhood so he enrolls them in school. Now they're going to learn the most important lesson of all: which is more important, friends or family?

Alright, yes I have actually sat down and watched this movie... twice. It's the awesome songs that have been done with the high-pitched chipmunk voices that I find entertaining.

After a rocking gig, Dave has a bad accident and has to be hospitalised for a while. Whilst there, he decides that his boys needs to have a taste of a normal childhood, so he enrolls them in school. Once on the scene, the boys fall in with different groups and then begin to fight amongst themselves. Not only that, but there's a new chipmunk group on the music scene. Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor are the Chipettes, and with Ian as their manager, the Chipmunks are in for a little competition.

A lovely little story about putting family before friends, Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 was a cute little movie. I mean come on, the film is about singing chipmunks! It can only be described as "cute."
I have to say though, this movie has a good soundtrack. The songs that are featured are awesome: You Really Got Me, Hot N Cold, Put Your Records On, All the Single Ladies, We Are Family are just a few of the songs performed in this movie.
With all the same faces from the first movie, plus a few new ones, Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 was an enjoyable little kiddies' movie, although by the end of it you are sick to the teeth of the chipmunks' voices.
