Igor [PG]

Behind the hunch is a brain that is smarter than the evil scientist. But even the most brilliant plans don't come without flaws. After something goes wrong during the experiment, Igor is left with a monster of a problem.

We've all seen those movies with the mad scientists creating life and everything. And we all think we've seen the poor hunchbacked henchmen who do the dirty work, grave-robbing and so on. But have we actually seen them? Do we know what their angle is? Do we actually know what Igor is like? Well in this clever little animated movie, we get to find out.

In the land of Malaria, all the brilliant and somewhat insane minds compete against each other to see who is the greatest evil scientist of them all. Behind every one of these mad inventors is a mistreated Igor. Born with a hunch on their back, Igors only live to serve their master scientists. That's their lot in life. It's not a lot, but it's their life. However one Igor is about to change the way Malaria looks on his kind.
After an evil experiment goes somewhat hugely awry leaving him without a master to serve, Igor sets out to prove that he is more than he appears to be. For the first time ever it is Igor who creates life. With his creation, Igor plans to enter the win the Evil Science Fair and make Malaria see that the hunch on his back does not define what he can do. However whilst in the process of creation, something goes wrong and Igor's monster is born without an evil bone in her body, and in a land where evil is the driving force that supports everything, that's a monster of a problem.

This is a cute little film with a very clever script, cute and funny characters, and a whimsical and fresh take on the whole Good vs Evil thing.
With the voice talents of John Cusack, Steve Buscemi, John Cleese, Jennifer Coolidge, Arsenio Hall, Sean Hayes, Eddie Izzard, Jay Leno, Holly Shannon and Christian Slater, Igor is a refreshing little animated feature that will have you giggling the whole way through.
